Homecoming 2026: A Weekend to Remember
There is nothing quite like coming home to Muskingum, and this year, Homecoming promises to be especially memorable.
Homecoming 2026, October 9–11, will bring generations of Muskies together for a weekend filled with tradition, celebration, reconnection, and a historic moment in the life of the University: the inauguration of Dr. Flavius Lilly as Muskingum’s 22nd President.
A Historic Moment for Muskingum
On Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. in Brown Chapel, the Muskingum community will gather for the Presidential Inauguration of Dr. Flavius Lilly. The ceremony will celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for Muskingum while honoring the people, traditions, and shared sense of community that have shaped the University for generations.

The inauguration is just one highlight of a weekend packed with opportunities to experience Muskingum again.
Friday begins with opportunities to get back into the classroom through Alumni College, including conversations about alumni and student travel, a hands-on ceramics workshop, and Inside Muskie Athletics: Legacy & Momentum. Alumni can also experience an interactive Art & Design class, connect with students during the Khanna Career Connections Conference, and gather under the tent for the Welcome Reception for All Alumni.
Friday evening turns the spotlight to some remarkable Muskies at the Alumni Awards Banquet, where the University will recognize the 2026 Distinguished Service Award and Emerging Alumni Award recipients. The evening concludes with one of Muskingum’s favorite traditions—the Collage Concert in Brown Chapel.
Following Saturday morning's inauguration, the celebration spreads across campus. Gather with friends at the Homecoming Celebration Lunch, cheer on Muskie Volleyball, visit Greek and social club open houses, and head to Sherman Field as the Fighting Muskies take on Capital in the 104th Homecoming Football Game. The 1975 OAC Championship Football Team will also be recognized as part of the day's festivities.
And the celebration doesn't stop when the final whistle blows. 5th Quarter returns to the East Lawn with food trucks, music, activities, academic program socials, and reunion gatherings. As evening arrives, alumni can explore campus history during the Twilight Cornerstone Stroll before gathering on the Quad for the Fireside Finale, featuring live music, s'mores, a bonfire, and time together under the stars.
The weekend concludes Sunday morning with the Student/Alumni Chapel Service in Brown Chapel followed by a Farewell Brunch—one final opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow Muskies before heading home.
