Graduates recognized in December ceremony

Muskingum University recognized the accomplishments of December graduates with a special recognition ceremony in Brown Chapel on Dec. 8, 2018.

Of the 79 new graduates recognized during the ceremony, 53 completed their Bachelor of Arts degree, 22 completed their Bachelor of Science degree, and four completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. A total of nine earned University academic honors of cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude.  

The graduates hailed from Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, South Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin, Nevada, and China.

Matthew Triola ’18 served as the student speaker for the ceremony.  An International Affairs and English major and active campus leader,  Mr.Triola is founding member of Students Empowering the Community, which strives to ignite discussion on current domestic and international issues in a welcoming atmosphere.  

Students and their families celebrated with University faculty and staff at reception in the library’s McCalmont Colloquium Center immediately following the event.
