New Podcast Features Alumni Keys to Academic Success
Linda's Keys to Academic Success

Muskingum University Educational Support Specialist Linda Hatfield and students in the Audio Production class taught by Associate Professor of Communication Lisa Marshall ’03 have created a new podcast, “Linda’s Keys to Academic Success.”

The podcast was designed for students enrolled in the first-year Keys to Academic Success course, which introduces a variety of academic skills necessary to succeed in college.

“I wanted to interview current students and Muskingum alumni who overcame initial academic issues to find success. By creating a podcast, I can have them share their experiences and inspire students enrolled in all three class sections of the course,” said Ms. Hatfield.

Audio Production students Gracie Collins ‘22, TJ Davis '24, Samuel Pollock ‘26, Seth Roseberry ‘23 and Kailyn Shalosky ’24 are assisting Hatfield with recording, producing, and editing the show. Three different podcasts are being created as projects for the Audio Production course.

‘I love working with the Audio Production class. The students have given me all sorts of ideas and made the project better with a clear focus,” Ms. Hatfield said. “The ideas that the students had for the podcast made it richer and I’m so glad that I partnered with them.”

The first episode of Linda’s Keys featured Noah Cornell ’21 and the second episode featured ReAnne Brooks '22. The third and final episode this term is releasing this week with Taylor Woda '25.
