Dr. Lisa Marshall Receives National Recognition

Muskingum University Associate Professor of Communication Lisa Marshall ’03 was recognized with the national Excellence in Advising Award at the National Student Electronic Media Convention.

Sponsored by College Broadcasters, Inc., the convention was held in Baltimore, Maryland from October 26-29, 2022.

Samuel Pollock '26, Seth Roseberry '23, Bryce Ceculski '25, and Kailyn Shalosky '24 attended the conference with Dr. Marshall.

Dr. Marshall serves as the WMCO Station Manager and Director of Broadcasting and teaches a variety of courses in the Communication, Media, & Theatre Department.

She has been a member of the Muskingum faculty since 2007, and in 2015, she received the University’s highest teaching honor, the William Oxley Thompson Award for Excellence in Teaching.

After earning her Muskingum Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication, she completed her Master of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Communication Studies from Bowling Green State University.
