Art Department Tabs Winners of the “Muskingum University Student Competition Exhibition, 2020”

Muskingum University recently announced that 17 students took home various honors during the annual “Student Competition Exhibition” in the Louis O. Palmer Art Gallery. Winners were selected from more than 70 artworks created and submitted by students utilizing various media – including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.

During the exhibit, which has been a campus staple for more than 20 years, visitors to the gallery voted for their favorite entries.

“We have such an enthusiastic and talented group of students in the Art program and recognizing their works in this exhibit is a highlight for our department each year,” said Yan Sun, professor of Art. “If you get a chance, I encourage you to stop by to see this unique collection that provides a window into the future of art.”

The “Student Competition Exhibition” is slated to run through Nov. 20. Palmer Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., with additional hours available by appointment. Only 10 guests are permitted at a time and face coverings and social distancing are required.
