“The Omelet Murder Case” Coming to Campus, Oct. 11 - 13
Actor in The Omelet Murder Case

The Muskingum University Theatre Department presents its all first-year student production of “The Omelet Murder Case” held in Caldwell Hall on 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11; 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.

“The Omelet Murder Case,” by Tim Kelly, is a hilarious one-act comedy which takes a classic crime murder mystery and merges it with Hamlet! The show features outlandish characters, "moiderous" misdoings and a multitude of possible motives. The story centers on Chicago's number one private investigator and hack writer, "Shake" Speare, portrayed by first-year student Ava Hayslip, who is noted for his juicy yarns, but the twists and turns of plot are not quite what the immortal bard had in mind.

Tickets are $5 or free with a Muskingum University staff, faculty or student ID and may be reserved by calling the box office or can be purchased the night of each show.

The production is directed by Muskingum University senior Zackary Devoll.
