Students attend sociology conference and present research
Cambridge Hall

Six Muskingum University presented their research findings at the North Central Sociological Association annual conference, held April 9 and 10 in Cleveland.  An additional 10 students attended the conference, as well.

The following students made presentations:

Lamar Dowling '15, a psychology and sociology major, presented "An Exploratory Analysis of Moral Injury in Veterans: A Mixed Methods Cohort Comparison.”

Shalon Snyder '16, a sociology major, presented “Female Nature: A Case for Public Breastfeeding.”

Nate Caplan '15 a sociology, business and economics major, presented “College Test Time with Short Attention Span . . . Oh Look, My Adderall.”

Joe Galloway '16, a sociology and criminal justice major; Daniel Barr '16, a history and sociology major;  and Sylvia Jackson '16, a sociology major; presented “Cemetery Demography: Connecting Families to Their Past in Rural Ohio.”

Attending the conference were the following: Breeanna Poland '16, Kanzie Faust '17, Brookland Patterson '17, Rob Snyder '16, Whitney Rice '17, Kathaleena Bowen '18, Kevin Tavenner '15, Hannah Houser '17, Cira Bryant '16 and Mallory Tomkies '15. 

The students were accompanied by Associate Professor of Sociology Dr. Sandra Schroer, Professor of Sociology Dr. Steven McGuire and Associate Professor of Sociology Dr. David Tabachnick.
