Walker interns with the Smithsonian Institution
Camille Walker

 

Camille Walker ’18 is interning with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute, assisting zookeepers at the National Zoo’s Elephant House, and working in a Washington, D.C. area veterinary clinic. Her career goal is to become a veterinarian and help preserve endangered wildlife species.

While earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Theatre, Ms. Walker served as a Muskie Fellow, conducting research on endangered grassland birds at The Wilds under the direction of Professors of Biology Jim Dooley and Danny Ingold, and she interned with All About the Animals veterinary clinic in Zanesville.  

The Rochester, New York native also worked on campus as a member of the Computer & Network Services (CNS) team and as Ticket Booth Manager for the Theatre Department.
