Student-broadcasters ranked nationally in College Broadcasters competition

Muskingum University’s Orbit TV ranked in the top four student media outlets in the nation at the College Broadcasters, Incorporated annual National Student Electronic Media Convention, held October 23 through 25 in Seattle. 

Orbit TV had two national finalists in the category of National Student Production Awards.  Luke’s Tech Corner was a finalist in the category of Best Vodcast and The Muskie Daily Special Edition:  Bomb Threat Update was a finalist in the category of Best Television Special Broadcast.  Nationally, there were 800 entries in 24 categories of competition.

The team for the two productions was Christine Holmes ’16, Kayla Rausch ’16, Haley Ellis ’15, Luke Carmichael ’15 and Amanda Mlikan ’13.
