Rapp chosen as Coastal Carolina Artist in Residence
Bryan Rapp

Bryan Rapp ’12, a representational figurative sculptor, is serving as the first artist-in-residence at Coastal Carolina University, in Conway South Carolina.

He is currently creating a 10,000 pound, 12-foot bronze statue, “The Chanticleer,” interpreting Coastal Carolina’s mascot Chauncey. The statue will greet visitors to Brooks Stadium, the home venue of Coastal Carolina’s NCAA Division I Sunbelt Conference football tea. It is scheduled for installation in the spring of 2019.

Mr. Rapp’s work is widely exhibited and permanently displayed in public art projects and private collections in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Oklahoma, New York, and New Mexico.

After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at Muskingum, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.
