Muskingum University student Jackie Bradshaw ’25 captured the bronze medal in the singles bracket at 2023 Minto U.S. Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida. More than 3,000 pickleball players of all ages competed in the April 15-22 tournament.

Jackie is a music education major and a student-athlete on the Fighting Muskies tennis team.

Reflecting on her experience, Jackie said “I was so thankful to compete. I’m battling a shoulder injury and just being able to persevere through and even compete was a major win for me – a medal was something I didn’t expect but am unbelievably grateful and proud to receive. I couldn’t have done it without the support of those around me, and I especially want to thank my professors in the Music Department for helping me balance the Open and my coursework.”

Jackie also serves as a pickleball instructor, helping others learn the fastest growing sport in the country.  She has previously medaled in the 2022 U.S. Open, Cincinnati Open, Indianapolis Open, and other pickleball tournaments.

She is from Cambridge, Ohio and is the daughter of Dr. Brian Bradshaw, Muskingum’s Director of the Master of Business Information Systems program.
