Emily Regan ’21 Addresses UN General Assembly

Ten Muskingum University students traveled to New York City to participate in the March 2019 Model United Nations conference in New York City. The delegation was led by Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Richard Arnold.

During their visit, sophomore Emily Regan had the opportunity to address the United Nations General Assembly. Ms. Regan spoke in advocacy of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Members of Muskingum’s delegation included senior Lauren Wisenbarger, junior Mikhala West, and sophomores William Bradshaw, Ryan Cochenour, Lorene Kelley, Maysen Moorehead, Ian Pray, Marissa Proffitt, Emily Regan, and Emily Sink.

The four-day Model United Nations Conference included a wide range of activities that closely model the operations of the United Nations. The Muskingum delegation’s time in New York City also included visits to the 9/11 Memorial and Central Park.
