Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds Spring Concert to Feature Vocalist Stacy Russell Welker

The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds will present its spring concert in Muskingum University’s Brown Chapel on Sunday, April 30 at 7 p.m. The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds will be joined by the Muskingum University Wind Ensemble to present “Spring Pops Concert,” which includes music from movies and video games, in addition to several jazz selections. 

Featured on the concert will be vocalist Stacy Russell Welker, a Zanesville native, who is an adjunct instructor of voice at Muskingum and a 2016 Muskingum alumna. Stacy will sing several jazz standards, and will be joined by a trio of local musicians from Cambridge—Len Thomas on piano, George DeLancey on bass, and Bill Armstrong on drums.  

The concert is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted at the door.

The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds is a concert band comprised of local professional and amateur musicians, as well as Muskingum University students and faculty. The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds exists as a partnership with Muskingum University, and is conducted by Music Director David A. Turrill, Associate Professor Music at Muskingum.
