Storytelling Panel: “Speaking Globally: Real Stories”

A virtual storytellers panel, “Speaking Globally: Real Stories,” was recently hosted by Muskingum University Forensics, the Arts and Humanities Division, World Languages, and Special Events. 

The panel featured faculty, staff, and students sharing their experiences speaking a second (or more) language.  It was emceed by Rachel Pollock, Assistant Professor of Communication and Director of Forensics.

  • Kekoa Kaluhiokalani, Associate Professor of English
  • Elizabeth Nease ’21
  • Kathleen Cunniffe-Peña, Assistant Professor of Spanish
  • Valerie Smith, Director of International Programs

Deborah Stout, Instructor of French, and Joe Pletcher, PLUS Learning Consultant, also contributed to the discussion.

Forensics student and Spanish and Theatre major Elizabeth Nease ’21 presented her persuasive speech "Fighting Monolingualism in the U.S."
