Remarkable Women Awards honor President Hasseler and Charlotte Colley ’04
Awards recipients and speakers

The Museum Association of East Muskingum, in partnership with the Ohio History Connection, named Muskingum President Susan Hasseler the 2019 Remarkable Woman of the Present and Charlotte Colley ’04 the 2019 Remarkable Woman of the Future.

The “Remarkable Women: Past, Present, and Future” luncheon was held  March 23, 2019 on the Muskingum University campus and honored the 99th birthday of Anna Castor Glenn ‘42.  The awards recognize “remarkable women who have contributed greatly to our community and beyond in the spirit and manner of Annie Glenn.”

President Hasseler became Muskingum University’s 21st President on July 1, 2016.  She was presented at the luncheon by her daughter, Kaitlin Hasseler.  

Charlotte Colley serves as the New Concord Village Administrator and has been a Lecturer in Public Administration at Muskingum since 2017.  She earner her Muskingum bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Conservation Science.  Ms. Colley was presented by Dr. Jim Dooley, Muskingum’s Bill & Martha Lovejoy Distinguished Professor of Biology and Director of Conservation Science. 

Mary Ann DeVolld ’73 presented the 2019 Remarkable Woman of the Past honoree, Toki Shegog.
