Led by President Sue Hasseler, a delegation of Muskingum leaders and faculty members recently visited China to extend the University’s decade-long partnerships with several Chinese educational institutions.

The group included Muskingum Provost Nancy Evangelista, Board of Trustees member Patricia Wright Fridley ’76, Professor of Political Science Walter Huber, Ruth Dorsey Neptune Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts Yan Sun, Assistant Professor of Art and Director of International Exchange Hong Yin, and International Admissions Counselor and NCIST Program Coordinator Min Qu.

Traveling to Beijing, Lanzhou and Xi’an, the group visited institutions including the North China Institute of Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, and multiple secondary schools. They also met with Muskingum alumni and prospective students living in China.

The opening reception of the combined John Glenn High School-Lanzhou High Schools Art Exhibition, hosted by Mr. Nan Zhanjun, Director of the Lanzhou Education Bureau, was a special highlight of the trip.
