Muskingum University music students presented their first road performance tour since the pandemic.
The Wind Ensemble conducted by Associate Professor of Music Dr. David Turrill, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers conducted by Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Daniel Strychacz, and Muskie Rocks conducted by Professor of Music Dr. Laura Schumann launched their tour on campus with a concert in Brown Chapel on March 1.
The groups presented two tour performances which were open to the public: Kanawha United Presbyterian Church in Charleston, West Virginia on March 2 and at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Weston, West Virginia on March 3.
They also performed four school concerts in Cambridge and Byesville, Ohio and in Weston and Jane Lew, West Virginia.
The tour concluded in Washington, D.C., where the students will enjoy sightseeing and a performance by “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band entitled “Celebrating 50 Years of Women in the Marine Band.”
