Ohio Contemporary Art Exhibition Open at Palmer Gallery
“The Abstraction of Thought”

“The Abstraction of Thought” exhibition featuring prominent contemporary artists from the Eastern Ohio region is open through February 15, 2019 at Muskingum University’s Louis O. Palmer Gallery.

More than 30 artworks are displayed, including sculpture, ceramics, painting, mixed media, and crafts.  Artists represented include Jon Stucky, Peggy Sibila, Dr. William Schultz, Sarah Dugger, Ashley McCleery, and William Koch.

Many of the images in Jon Stucky's art are colorful and communicate a whimsical feeling. Peggy Sibila’s works are often associated with masks and are primarily mixed-media, including ceramics, raku, metal and wood.  Dr. William Schultz's works include wood, clay, and stone sculptures.

The exhibit opened on January 23, 2019 with a lecture and painting demonstration by Jon Stucky.

The Louis O. Palmer Art Gallery Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:30am - 3:30pm, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by appointment.
