Muskie Musicians Selected for Honors Festival

Congratulations to eight Muskie Music majors recently selected to attend the 2020 Ohio Private College Instrumental Conductors Association Honors Festival (OPCICA) at Ashland University.

Darci Robinson, clarinet; Anastasia Reidenbach, oboe; Josh Carroll, tenor sax; Casey Wilson, baritone sax; Brandon Barnes, trumpet; and Michael Border, tuba, joined the group’s Honors Concert Band. D.J. Esselburn, percussion; and Gavin Newton, trumpet, joined the Honors Jazz Ensemble during the event. 

Open to all private colleges and universities in Ohio, the purpose of OPCICA is to provide a closer network among member schools. In its 32 year history, the festival has enriched the lives of thousands of students. Muskingum University is one of the founding members of the Association.
