“Whenever I'm asked about which college I went to, I always proudly reply ‘Muskingum’ and talk about it being the most important four years of my life. I learned so much and grew so much in this time period. I became a much more effective communicator and laid the groundwork for my career in teaching and coaching,” says Chris Cores, ’04.

Cores earned a B.S. in mathematics. He spent his first year teaching at Coshocton High School. Following his first year as a teacher, he returned to his hometown of Pickerington, Ohio. He has been teaching math and coaching men’s varsity golf at Pickerington High School Central for the past 13 years. He is also currently serving as the head of the Mathematics Department.

In 2007, Cores earned a Master’s in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. He continues to take continuing education courses so that he can stay up-to-date with evolving policies and strategies in the field of education.
