Adam Feeks, ’06, from Medina, Ohio, majored in business at Muskingum. He chose the school because his brother had also attended, and he liked the campus and small classroom environment, as well as the chance to continue playing football.
After graduation, Feeks moved to Naples, Florida to work for a company he had interned with as an undergrad. He later joined his family’s Manufacturer’s Representative Sales agency. He says, “It is a job I truly enjoy because of the personal interaction, and the competitiveness in the market we are in, and the gratification in seeing a business deal through from start to finish!”
In his line of work, both verbal and written communication are everyday components of success. Feeks says, “I feel Muskingum helped to prepare me for that more than anything.”
Feeks advises graduating seniors: “Don’t be too picky, and don’t expect to strike it rich coming out of college. Hard work in whatever role you take could be the stepping stone to what the next opportunity may be, hopefully bigger and better!”
