ONLINE EARLY CHILDHOOD GENERALIST ENDORSEMENT

Expand your teaching credentials with the Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement 100% online through Muskingum University. This program is designed for teachers with a PreK-3 teaching license looking to add grades 4 and 5 to their existing credentials. This 12-credit hour endorsement allows teachers to extend their instructional scope by integrated science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies content knowledge and pedagogy.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • 12 credit hours total 
  • Must already hold an Early Childhood (PreK–3) license 
  • Fully online coursework covering integrated content methods and pedagogy for grades 4–5 
  • Additional field hours required as part of endorsement requirements 
  • Endorsement credits may apply toward completing the full MAE degree

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH AN EARLY CHILDHOOD GENERALIST ENDORSEMENT

With the Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement, you’ll be qualified to:

  • Teach grades 4–5 content areas in science, math, language arts, and social studies
  • Extend your impact beyond PreK–3 into upper-elementary generalist roles
  • Provide integrated instruction bridging early childhood and upper-elementary content
  • Serve as a curriculum support or specialist bridging elementary grade bands
