Student Teaching:

MAP Students take the following:

  • EDUC 623 Clinical Practice in Early Childhood Education (8)
  • EDUC 627.3 Clinical Practice & Professional Portfolio Development Seminar (3)

Important to Know:

  • EDUC 220 is not required for students transferring in a math course. 
  • Education candidates are required to earn a B- or better in all EDUC courses to move forward in the program.
  • Admission to the teacher education program is the prerequisite for all EDUC 300 and higher-level courses.
  • Students are permitted to repeat a course once. The grade received from the second time taking the course is the grade that will factor into the GPA.

CAREER OUTCOMES

Graduates are prepared to work as:

  • Early Childhood or Primary Grades Teacher
  • Reading or Literacy Specialist (with endorsement)
  • Teacher in public or private elementary schools
