Richard F. Marsch, age 88, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gerrie Marsch; daughter, Kim Polk; grandchildren: Ryan (Megan) Tatusko & Lindsay Trausch; great-grandchildren: Ryder Tatusko, Presley Tatusko, Quinn Tatusko, Luke Trausch, Henry Trausch and Benjamin Trausch; brother, Robert Marsch; sister-in-law, Antoinette Dobis; and his many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents: Fredrick & Emma Marsch.

Richard was a supervisor with U.S. Steel for 42 years. He was a member of the Glen Park Izaac Walton and the NRA. Richard was an avid trapshooter and participated in many different state and international competitions and championships. Richard played college football and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a karate instructor in his younger years. Richard enjoyed smoking cigars with his closest friends.
