Warren Wiggins, Class of 1964

Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, a friend to many, Warren Wiggins, of Northbrook, Illinois, died on March 26, 2025. Born on December 9, 1942, to Charles Leroy Wiggins and Beulah Mary Lydic Wiggins in Massillon, Ohio. Warren spent his childhood in Ambrose, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell, and grandson Nathan Wiggins. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Joyce (Penn) Wiggins; daughter Elizabeth Bleile (Ron); sons Gregory (Laura) and Jeffrey (Sreyoshi Chakraborty); granddaughters Ashley Wiggins, Heather Wiggins, Katherine Bleile, Sarah Bleile, and grandsons Zachary Wiggins and Albert Wiggins; and sisters Karen Grant of Chicago, and Becky Wareham (Barry) of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, with a degree in history. He received a Bachelor of Divinity from Princeton Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, and a Doctor of Divinity from McCormick Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He served as pastor of several churches in Ohio and Illinois. In retirement, he remained active in ministry, serving as interim or guest pastor throughout Chicagoland and as a hospital chaplain. Love of travel began when he spent his junior year of college in Beirut, Lebanon. He visited 43 countries and had plans for future adventures. A voracious reader, he enjoyed book club and active engagement at the Presbytery of Chicago. Family was very important to Warren. He and Carolyn were blessed with twenty-three of their family members for a four-day celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary, June of 2024.
