Sadly, our beloved, Bonita Glick Kugler, 82, of Lima, Ohio passed away on March 19, 2025, at Lima Convalescent Home. Bonnie was born on May 10, 1942, to Dr. John and Wilda Glick in Napoleon, Ohio. After graduating from Napoleon High School Class of 1960, she went on to study education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Muskingum College in 1964. It was there she met the love of her life Warner Kugler. Upon graduation, Bonnie taught elementary school in Centerville, OH from 1964-65. Warner and Bonnie were married in 1965 and moved to Bowling Green, OH where she continued her career in teaching. Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother, Wilda, in 1983 and her father, Jack, in 1999. She will be affectionately remembered by her husband, Warner; daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Rockhold of Chicago, Illinois; son, David (Sarah) Kugler of Grand Rapids, Michigan and grandchildren Amelia and Miranda Rockhold, Jack and Lily Kugler. She is also survived by her sisters Rusty Osvath and Cheri Millard.

Bonnie’s greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her husband and the gift of being a mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated educator for 15 years at Bath Elementary School, retiring in 2001. Bonnie was compassionate, patient, creative and engaging with her students and fellow teachers. She continued her love of the classroom as a highly requested substitute teacher for Lima City, Bath and Shawnee Schools. She was also a member of the Women’s League of Lima.

Bonnie cherished her summers at Clear Lake with her friends and family. She so enjoyed entertaining, playing in the water with her children and grandchildren and most of all, basking in the sun at the end of the dock. Bonnie loved tending to her gorgeous flowers and was an avid knitter designing intricate hats for newborns, family and friends.

Bonnie will be remembered as a woman with exquisite taste, a zest for life and great sense of humor. She was never without her coral lipstick with matching manicure, a sparkle or embellishment and a fabulous tan! Her warm smile and infectious laughter were felt by all!
