Three Muskingum University students were finalists in the 2014 People’s Bank Undergraduate Business Case Competition, held recently as part of this year’s McDonough Leadership Conference at Marietta College.

Competing for Muskingum were Eric Coen ’15,  Nate Caplan ’15 and Andrew Tornes ’14.  As a team, they were challenged to analyze a financial services case study and present their solutions to conference attendees and a panel of judges. The case they studied involved People’s Bank and how it should approach a hypothetical acquisition of Cincinnati Savings Bank.

The students’ advisor is Instructor of Business Kristine C. Pray.

Seven schools competed, including Muskingum, Marietta, Ashland University, the University of Mt. Union, Marshall University, the University of Charleston and Ohio Valley University

The McDonough Leadership Center at Marietta College, and its annual conference, focus on the importance of leadership studies as a way of preparing its students for a life of purpose and engagement in the spirit of intellectual exploration, scholarship, self-reflection and personal leadership development.
