Welcome Class of 2026!
Muskingum University’s new first year class arrived on campus on Friday, August 19.
After the newest Muskies moved into their residence halls, they attended Opening Convocation, where they were welcomed by University President Sue Hasseler and Provost Nancy Evangelista, Mayor of New Concord Jennifer Lyle, and Welcome Weekend Senior Coordinator Gracie Andrews ’23. Cheryl Hetrick Carpenter ’86, Chair of the Muskingum Board of Trustees, delivered the keynote address.
The Class of 2026 engaged in a wide variety of activities throughout Welcome Weekend, getting to know each other, the campus, and New Concord. From Quad Mania games, a bonfire, and glow in the dark recreation, to a paint war, an escape room, and drag queen bingo, to peddle cart, kickball, and volleyball tournaments, to a campus scavenger hunt and excursions to the surrounding community, there was something for everyone!
