Senior Camille Walker will graduate in the spring with a biology degree. Walker, who hails from Rochester, New York, has worked hard to support herself financially throughout her undergraduate career. She works for Computer and Network Services (CNS) and is the ticket booth manager for the Theatre Department. She is involved on campus in her sorority, FAD, and TriBeta, the biology honorary.
At one point, Walker pictured college as a stepping stone on the way to what she wanted to do with her life, but she admits, “My experience here at Muskingum definitely exceeds my expectations; I figured I’d come to school, do what I have to do, make the best of it, and move forward with life, and though I have done exactly this, this place became my home throughout my time here. I have made life-long friendships and I’ve grown extremely attached to this place more than I believed I would. It is definitely a place I am proud to represent.”
Walker has done two internships to further explore the field of biology. Her freshman year, she participated in the Endangered Grassland Bird research under Danny Ingold and Jim Dooley, two biology faculty members. She also interned at a veterinary clinic, All about the Animals, where she shadowed the lead veterinarian, who treats both large and small animals.
