REGISTERING FOR CLASSES

HELPFUL INFORMATION

Before Class Registration

Before registering for classes, be sure you have:

  • Connected with your academic advisor
  • Reviewed your program plan and recommended courses
  • Checked the Academic Calendar for session start dates and deadlines

Many adult and graduate programs require advisor guidance or approval before registration.

How to register for classes

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Log into MuskieLink (Student Access Portal)
  2. Choose Register for Classes
  3. Select the correct Term and Session within that term
  4. Search for and Add your courses
  5. Submit and Confirm, your schedule

Access MuskieLink to Register for Classes

Once submitted, your registered courses will appear in your student schedule and in Canvas prior to the session start date.

Adding or dropping a class

During the add/drop period, you may adjust your schedule if needed.

To add or drop a course:

  1. Log into MuskieLink
  2. Select Student Planning
  3. Select Plan and Schedule
  4. Submit your changes before the session deadline

After the add/drop period ends, course changes require a formal withdrawal.

holds & errors

If you are unable to register, you may have a hold on your account.

Common reasons include:

  • Financial holds
  • Course is full
  • Incomplete pre-requisites

All holds must be resolved before registration can be completed. A message error will be shown in your MuskieLink if you have a hold.
