PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • 18 credit hours total 
  • All coursework delivered online and asynchronous in the summer
  • Combines theory, methods, assessment, and practicum in TESOL contexts
  • Designed for licensed teachers; completing the endorsement does not grant a full teaching license

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A TESOL ENDORSEMENT?

By earning the TESOL Endorsement, you will be able to:

  • Serve as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher / ELL specialist in K–12 settings
  • Design and implement ESL curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Conduct language assessments and tailor instruction for multilingual learners
  • Work in co-teaching and collaboration with classroom teachers to support ELL populations
  • Qualify for roles in adult education or community-based language programs

CAREER OUTCOMES

Graduates of the TESOL endorsement track may pursue roles including:

  • ESL / ELL teacher in public or private schools
  • Intervention or support teacher for English learners
  • ESL curriculum coordinator or instructional coach
  • Bilingual or multilingual education specialist
  • Teacher in adult or community language programs
