GIFTED ENDORSEMENT

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • 19 credit hours total 
  • Fully online, asynchronous courses (some in accelerated terms) 
  • Coursework includes theory, assessment, curriculum for gifted students, and collaborative and partnership strategies 
  • Practicum/clinical experience in your district or via summer online sessions at Muskingum 
  • Credits may count toward a Master of Arts in Education degree option

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE GIFTED ENDORSEMENT?

By earning the Gifted Endorsement, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Serve as a Gifted / Talented Intervention Teacher in K–12 schools
  • Design curriculum, enrichment, and differentiation strategies for gifted learners
  • Conduct assessments and identification of gifted students
  • Provide counseling, guidance, and mentoring to gifted learners
  • Collaborate with general classroom teachers and stakeholders to support gifted education initiatives
  • Enhance roles in district-level gifted programming or curriculum leadership

CAREER OUTCOMES

Graduates of this endorsement program can pursue roles such as:

  • Gifted / Talented Teacher or Specialist
  • Enrichment program coordinator
