Bio

Melissa Conroy teaches classes in the comparative study of religion. Her course offerings include Death and Dying in the World Religions, World Mythology, Religions and Philosophies of Asia, and World Religions. She also teaches courses in the Film Studies Minor were she has offered courses on the genre of horror and the director Stanley Kubrick. Conroy teaches in the Study Abroad program and has offers courses in London, Istanbul, and Hawaii. She is currently working on a manuscript about the work of the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan. She has been published in the Journal of Religion and Film and Zygon: Journal of Religion and Science. She advises the sorority Delta and the Queer and Straight Ally Association.
