Health and Safety Team

The University’s Health and Safety Team was formed in the spring of 2020 to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also may be utilized to address other health and safety topics as needed.  Reporting directly to President Hasseler, the Team’s primary responsibility is to develop policies, procedures, and protocols that promote a healthy campus community.

Currently, the Team is focused on monitoring COVID-19 news, modifying or developing protocols in response to recent trends, and adjusting campus operations to support its health and safety efforts.  Members of the Team remain in close communication with their colleagues from the Ohio Athletic Conference and across the state to ensure that the University is adopting best practices.
