COVID-19

The University is closely monitoring federal and state recommendations to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine based on occurrences of an exceptionally rare blood clotting event. As always, Muskingum University stays in close contact with the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health about issues relating to COVID-19. We have put a hold on any future Johnson & Johnson vaccine administration on our campus and our Student Health Center is working with members of our campus community who have concerns about receiving the vaccination. We continue to focus on taking appropriate measures to best facilitate the health and well-being of our entire campus.
