MacKenzie O’Shea is an athletic training major from Toledo, Ohio who plans to attend graduate school to be a physician’s assistant.
This summer, MacKenzie will be traveling to Tanzania with a group called Gap Medics that allows students with pre-health majors to learn from medical professionals in other parts of the world. MacKenzie explains where she will be and what she will be doing: “I will be traveling to Tanzania to work in the Iringa Regional Hospital with their Physician's Assistants in the Pediatric department and also the Obstetrics and Gynecology ward. I'm really excited to see the differences in medicine around the world, but I am most excited to help the people of Tanzania.”
On campus, MacKenzie plays volleyball and is involved in an Athletes in Action bible study.
