Keri Hunt, ’19, is a conservation science major from Logan, Ohio. She chose Muskingum because she felt she would receive an excellent liberal arts education. She says, “I knew on my first visit to Muskingum it was where I was meant to be.”

Keri said that she is always on the lookout for internship and volunteer opportunities, so when she asked her advisor what he recommended; the Muskie Fellowship was the natural step.

Keri explains, “This summer I was able to do research on grassland birds. It was incredible experience and has helped me gain more knowledge of what my future career holds. This internship helped increase me knowledge of local wildlife and vegetation.”

Keri appreciates the opportunities she has been afforded at Muskingum, as well as the supportive friends who surround her here. “If it wasn't for [supportive friends who spend countless hours with me studying in the library], studying wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable.”
