Muskingum Programing Board
Muskingum Programming Board (MPB) is linked with the Student Senate as the primary student programming body on the Muskingum University campus.
Consisting entirely of students, MPB plans and implements a wide variety of events and activities for the entire campus community. The selected leaders and volunteers of MPB coordinate events such as: comedians, singers, bingo, movies, outdoor recreational activities, and MuskiePalooza (spring festival), as well as many other student-oriented activities.
At the beginning of the Spring Semester, all MPB positions open up to student applicants. These positions are paid positions on campus. MPB consists of a Leadership Team (President, Vice President, Director of Operations & Marketing, and 3-4 Event Coordinators) and the core team (general members who are members of a specific family within MPB). The Leadership Team coordinates the efforts of the core team to plan events every Friday and Saturday night. Members of the core team serve in a volunteer capacity but collaborate with the Leadership Team to implement a variety of quality events hosted for the campus community every week. Involvement with MPB is a learning opportunity where students grow in areas of decision-making, leadership, negotiation, event planning, production, marketing, and more. MPB is known for hosting great events that engage in a diverse audience at Muskingum.
