Graduate Assistant - Women's Lacrosse

Muskingum University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant for the Women's Lacrosse team.  Muskingum’s graduate assistant program provides a full tuition waiver for the successful candidate to complete a Muskingum master’s degree while gaining hands-on career experience.  Responsible for assisting with the overall coaching and management of the Women’s Lacrosse team, the Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Head Coach, team members, and other professionals in the Athletic Department. 

The compensation package for this position includes an annual stipend of $5,000, campus housing, meals, and a full tuition waiver.  Muskingum is a Division III member of the NCAA and a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. 


  • Participate in all aspects of recruiting prospective student-athletes and coordinate recruiting efforts such as, mailings, Front Rush, texts/calls, off campus evaluations, and campus visits
  • Assist with all practice planning and execution during the traditional and non-traditional seasons
  • Assist the head coach in game and travel preparations
  • Assist the head coach with opponent scouting and film breakdowns
  • Assist the head coach with game preparation
  • Assist with conducting pre-season, in-season, and post-season conditioning/lifting, within the guidelines and bylaws of the NCAA Division III and the Ohio Athletic Conference

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Acceptance or ability to be accepted into Muskingum University Graduate Program.
  • Strong collegiate background in lacrosse.
  • Good organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
