Director of Outreach and Operations
Muskingum University invites applications for the position of Director of Outreach and Operations for the IMPACT Center. Reporting to the Executive Director of the IMPACT Center, this is an opportunity to develop outreach strategies to expand experiential learning and post-graduate career placement opportunities for Muskingum students with the extensive Muskingum alumni network. The Director will also oversee reporting, tracking, and assessments for the IMPACT Center, including annual reporting, high-impact experiential learning tracking and assessment, as well as first destination data and post-graduate outcomes. The Director also serves as an integral member of the IMPACT Center team by managing the implementation of digital platforms and coordinating communications, program marketing and promotions, weekly newsletters, and IMPACT Center webpage management.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop outreach strategies with Alumni Relations to expand internships, experiential learning, and post-graduate career placement connected to alumni.
- Establish best practices for post-graduate outcomes data collection, including first destination surveys.
- Develop operational standards and data tracking mechanisms for experiential learning.
- Direct development and implementation of IMPACT Center software platforms.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate data for continuous program improvement.
- Oversee department communications, including effectively communicating through written and digital materials, data, and presentations.
- Assist with cultivation and management of student, alumni, faculty, staff, employer, and community relationships to achieve the strategic goals of the IMPACT Center.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of full-time experience managing, implementing, and developing education and outreach programs that build relationships and create access opportunities.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 and other digital platforms
- Experience in data collection and analysis to inform data-driven decision making.
- Proven organizational and project management/coordination skills, including the ability to manage a diverse array of projects/tasks.
- Ability to accomplish a variety of goals with varying timelines, budgets, and staffing resources.
