Chemistry Laboratory Manager
Muskingum University invites applications for the position of Chemistry Laboratory Manager. This ten-month, part-time appointment will report to the Chief, Department of Chemistry
Duties include overall supervision of chemistry stockroom and laboratory, maintaining all aspects of chemical, equipment, and apparatus inventory levels, and ensure proper storage and condition of chemicals, equipment, and lab apparatus in accordance with OSHA requirements. The Chemistry Lab Manager will, also, train and supervise the student assistants in chemical/equipment preparation activities (e.g., laboratory and stock room safety, preparing and dispensing chemical solutions, proper cleaning and storage of lab equipment). Other duties as assigned by the Chair, Department of Chemistry.
Requirements: Minimum of an associate degree in the science area is required; chemistry experience is highly desirable.
