Administrative Assistant to Disability Resources Services
Muskingum University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant for the Disability Resources Services Office. The administrative assistant serves as the initial contact with students, parents, faculty, and others seeking information or assistance from the Disability Education and PLUS Program offices, and performs various functions that are essential in the day-to-day operations of the programs. Working closely with, and reporting to, the Executive Director of Disability Resources Services, the administrative assistant manages operational systems and student information records with accuracy and confidentiality, manages budget operations, supports logistics and outreach for recruitment and team-building events, maintains website and outreach materials, and serves as overall office manager.
Associates degree preferred;
Two to three years of experience working in an office setting preferred;
Present a flexible, outgoing and engaging demeanor to students, faculty, staff and other internal and external audiences:
Ability to maintain focus and positive energy in a fast-paced office environment;
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality on personal and system levels;
Understanding of a small, liberal arts, residential campus;
Excellent written, verbal, computer and organizational systems skills, and ability to multi-task;
Occasional weekend and evening work are required;
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 skills including Excel, Outlook, Outlook Calendar and PowerPoint is required to produce professional written documents and to collect, analyze and report on data.
This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position with reduced summer hours. A standard university benefits package is provided.
