Financial Aid for Special Students

Aid information for those pursing a second bachelor's degree, teacher licensure, transfer credit, or post-secondary courses.

Teacher Licensure after receiving a bachelor's degree

These students are still considered undergraduates for financial aid purposes. However, students in this program are charged per credit hour. Since these students have already received a bachelor's degree, the only types of financial aid available are Federal Direct Loans, private loans and in some cases PLUS Loans. For more information on loans click on Student & Parent Loans on the left. Remember to be eligible for the Federal Direct Stafford Loan you must file the FAFSA. A second bachelor's degree

These students are still considered undergraduates for financial aid purposes. However, students in this program are charged per credit hour. Since these students have already received a bachelor's degree, the only types of financial aid available are Federal Direct Loans, private loans and in some cases PLUS Loans. Post-secondary

There is no financial aid available for post -secondary students. Students should work with their high school counselor and the Registrar's Office.

Transient

A transient student is a degree-seeking student at another institution who is taking classes at Muskingum University in order to transfer those credits back to that institution. There is no financial aid through Muskingum University for transient students. Any financial aid the student may receive would be processed through their home school.
