Bio

Alaine began her career at Muskingum in 2016 and currently serves as the campus Instructional Technology Specialist. She currently provides user support for Blackboard and other instructional technologies, teaches in the Library department, and works with the other members of the Center for Teaching & Learning to provide support in all facets of instruction. She holds a BA in English from Malone University and a Master of Library & Information Science from Kent State University as well as a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Bowling Green State University.

Alaine’s research interests include gamification of instruction, online course design, and youth services in librarianship. In her spare time she volunteers for several Muskingum County organizations and stays up-to-date on current trends in learning design and librarianship.
