Handshake is an online platform to connect Muskingum students to internship and job opportunities, both on- and off-campus.

Students

Muskingum students can use Handshake to apply for on-campus work (including work-study positions) or to apply to internships and off-campus positions. With features that allow you track available positions you may be interested in or enable job recruiters to contact you based on your resume, Handshake is a great option for Muskies who are looking for career experience.

How do I create a Handshake account?

Muskingum students automatically receive a Handshake account. Join here and login using your Muskingum email and password.

How do I search for and apply for a job?

Handshake provides thorough guides that include searching for jobs and internships, applying for jobs, and checking the status of your applications, as well as tips on finding and tracking internships and what to do once you score the interview:

Campus Employers

Handshake provides a central database of jobs available to Muskingum students, including on-campus employment, work-study positions, internships, and off-site work. Adding your job postings to Handshake allows students to find all of this information in one easily-searchable environment.

How do I create a Handshake account?

Visit Handshake's employer registration page and sign up using your Muskingum email address.

How do I post a job?

I posted a job, but how do I know if students have applied?

Handshake allows employers to customize how they are notified of new applicants. Learn how to set up your notifications on a specific job here

Once you have an account, visit Handshake’s website to log in or download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
