American Studies

Tackling a broad range of icons, texts, and events — from LeBron James and Rosie the Riveter to the American Revolution, and The Godfather — students in American Studies evaluate and interpret what it means to be an American and the idea of a nation over time. This minor fosters the interdisciplinary study of the values, beliefs, cultures, and social systems of the United States.
