Requirements for Psi Chi Honorary

Students must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for membership in Psi Chi. Applicants will be notified as to whether or not they meet the requirements as soon as possible. This is the first step to becoming a member.

After the first initial step of meeting the academic requirements for membership, we suggest that applicants attend at least two meetings of Psi Chi/ Psychology Club, and actively participate in at least one committee. Completing these recommendations will help facilitate the voting process, which is the next step to membership. In other words, it is helpful to have a face attached to a name. Attending meetings and getting involved will help members in recognizing those applicants when voting takes place. Voting will take place a week after applicants have formerly been introduced at one of our Psi Chi meetings. Applicants should plan to attend this introductury meeting.

Any questions about the application procedure should be addressed to the club president (Jenn Gastrich). Psi Chi is a great way to learn more about the field of psychology and to get involved in fun actitivities with other students throughout the year. Any student, however, can participate in our events by becoming involved with our Psychology Club. There are no requirements to become a member of Psychology Club, and meetings take place in conjuction with Psi Chi.
