Spanish Language and Culture
 Toledo, Spain

ESTO (ESpañol en TOledo), under the auspices of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and with the sponsorship of the Patronato Universitario de Toledo offers a summer program in Spanish Language and Culture aimed at non-natives who, for a month, share everyday life and communicate in Spanish in a modern city of 70,000 inhabitants which, at the same time,  is a living museum of three great medieval cultures: Christian, Jewish and Muslim. The former capital of imperial Spain, Toledo is only an hour from Madrid and the international airport, and represents well the art and history of Spain.

Classes: Seventy hours of language instruction

Cultural Component:  A day class trip to Madrid where visits in summers past have included the world-famous Prado Museum, the Royal Palace and the national Parliament. Other excursions include an overnight trip through the mancha, along the Route of Don Quixote.  An additional day trip is planned.  Two guided routes in Toledo including entrance to museums, and classes in Spanish dancing and cooking.

Credit: Upon receipt of certificate from ESTO indicating satisfactory completion of both the    language and cultural components of the program

Travel: You are free to make your own arrangements.
