Researching Now = Less Stress Later

We're only four weeks away from the last day of classes. How is your research coming along on that paper? Sorry to bring it up, but I thought I should ask. Don't worry, you still have time to find the information you need.

It's a good idea to request any OhioLINK books you may need now. It will take 2-3 days for the books to arrive on campus. You can always use QuickSearch to find articles, but sometimes you are better off using specific subject resources.

Do you normally wait until the last minute? Don't stress can probably find relevant information on your topic in the Electronic Book Center, Electronic Journal Center, or Academic Search Complete.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say...remember that you have a friend in the library! We're here to help you. All you have to do is ask and if we not online just send us an email at

Send instant messages without downloading software

Did you know that you don't have to download the AOL, Yahoo, or MSN instant message client to lab computers when you want to chat with friends? You can use a web based service like Meebo or Kool IM.

Remember, you can send us an instant message too. Our nickname is askmclibrary. You can check to see if we are on by looking at the graphic on the Ask-a-Librarian page. Hint: Click the browser refresh button if the Available or Not Available graphic doesn't display the first time.
