Preamble of the Lambda Chi Club Constitution

"The women of Lambda Chi Omega are "one in spirit and purpose."  This, our motto, exemplifies our goal to unite as Christian women.  We all come from different backgrounds, but are firmly rooted together in our common belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and salvation is received by grace through faith in Him.

"Lambda Chi Omega is a sorority for Christian women to further develop their sisterhood.  This sisterhood will work side-by-side with other Christian organizations to promote the common goal of ministry, but will also meet on a more spiritual and personal level as individual women that are bound together through Christ.  The Lambda Chi Club is more than a physical place to gather, but a family that shares deep, meaningful relationships."

Preamble of the Lambda Chi Club Constitution

S
isterhood:

Lambda Chi Omega is a social sorority promoting sisterhood between members. We will endeavor to encourage each other through all aspects of life while holding each other accountable. As sisters we will develop unconditional friendships that will last a lifetime.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!" - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Spiritual Development

Lambda Chi Omega members believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and salvation is received by grace through faith in Him. Each member should seek His will in her own life and display a character that reflects Christ. She should strive to develop her personal relationship with Christ through the study of His Word, prayer, and fellowship.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
- Hebrews 12:1-2

Scholarship

Lambda Chi Omega emphasizes a continuing effort for personal growth and excellence in all we do. Scholarship applies not only to our current studies, but also to a constant goal of learning and self-improvement. We are all in college to obtain a degree and activities are intended to enhance our learning and study opportunities.

"Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme: therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."
- Proverbs 4:5-7

Ministry

As a Christian sorority, Lambda Chi Omega is compelled to be a ministry to the campus as well as to the surrounding community. We strive to be examples and strengthen the existing Christian organizations.

"Don't let anyone look down on your because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
